It is a myth that interchangeable sensors reduce your operational downtime, failure rate and cost. The reality is that you have to do all the work! Imagine taking your truck in for a service and having to change the oil yourself!
Sensors get couriered to your facility where they can get lost, damaged or contaminated en-route. You then need to fit the sensors properly without damaging the system, threads or sensors and then You send the old sensor back
Interchangeable sensors are typically calibrated in bulk, outside of the analyser and have variable calibration periods (1yr or 2yr depending on sensor)
Most poor analysis results originate through poor testing hygiene, damaged hoses & fittings or internal pipework issues, pressure variances or electronic degradation. Simply changing the sensor module will not resolve this, causing more frustration and downtime before the real issue is identified
Interchangeable sensors typically contain their own embedded software that communicates with the analyser’s software. Over time these software packages may diverge and so modules may not communicate with the analyser

The EMT Way:
All analysers when returned to our service centres in Orlando (USA) or Bedford (UK) are calibrated as an entire analytical system
This ensures the calibration is performed on the whole system not just one component
We do all the work! We can arrange collection and return along with completing our 95 point system check, software updates and then calibration
Our calibration period is two years for ALL sensors
Final QC testing is done using the client’s own hose and fittings to ensure the analyser performs properly when needed
